Dogwood Animal Hospital has a very open floor plan to allow the veterinarian and staff to work efficiently. The lab station, treatment area and surgical prep are all in one large room. In 2020 a large dental and ICU suite were added. Dr. Miller has a large surgical suite with a viewing window, which allows her to see and access her staff at all time.
Also in 2020 a serene consultation and comfort room were added, giving clients a private and peaceful area to make decisions with our veterinarians. This area has private access from the back of the office allowing clients freedom of feelings without public appearance. The larger and updated isolation treatment room also has private access in order to prevent spread of disease. This room has a single air vent that doesn’t circulate air into other parts of the office protecting healthy pets from infection. Cross-contamination of contagious diseases doesn’t occur in the hospital because of the Isolation Ward.
Another amenity at Dogwood includes different sizes of recovery kennels to fit the individual need of the pet. There are four large indoor kennels for large breed dogs along with eight medium to smaller kennels for dogs. The staff makes sure each patient stays warm and comfortable. There is a designated hospitalized cat room reducing fear stimuli in felines during their stay at Dogwood.
There is a cozy, inviting lobby for clients and their pets. The area has two separate seating areas to allow for multiple pets at a time. A drive through pharmacy window is also available for ease of medication pick-up.
There are two large exam rooms that can accommodate multiple pets comfortably and a smaller exam room for cats and puppies.
